Darjeelings are light and delicate Indian teas. They take their name from their growing region: Darjeeling in West Bengal, India.

The spring darjeelings (1st flush) come from the first plucking at the end of the dormant period of the tea bushes. They contain more vitamins and trace elements than the following pluckings. They are rare and ephemeral.
